
Our Impact
Family Promise provides resources to families with children experiencing homelessness in Albany County.
We work with a network of community support partners to both prevent homelessness, and help families transition out of homelessness. We also operate a diaper and hygiene pantry that is available to the broader community.
Resources for Families
Family Promise of Albany County helps families by providing programs, information, and resources to assist them in their journey toward independent housing while building lasting relationships with volunteers and other families.
These resources include:
Transitional shelter: A place for intact families, single parents, and families with teenagers to go without being split up and an environment to empower families working toward independent housing goals.
Food and hygiene resources
Professional support services including: case management, financial and nutritional training options, employment resources, transportation, vital document recovery
Emergency homelessness prevention: rent/ utility relief, other case-base support
